At AyurYoga Eco-Ashram, we have 18 acres of fertile land. It was previously barren land, which was unused for a long time. As of now, we are using some acres of land for growing vegetables, lentils, greens etc, for our own use. We also planted several fruit trees and are waiting for them to reap soon.
Eventually, we would like to develop the rain water harvesting ponds for watering the entire campus through drip irrigation systems. Other than vegetables, we would like to grow Ayurvedic medicinal herbs to manufacture our own Ayurveda medicines for in-house usage and for free distribution to locals. All farming activity would be for internal use and for educational purposes.
We are receiving many emails from International students who would like help us with Organic Farming. At the moment we don’t have enough rooms to house the staff and volunteers. So, please wait for a few more years, when we will be accommodate more volunteers we will be happy to see you here.
